Meet Dr. Hai Zhong (Knoxville, TN)

Hai (Helen) Zhong, O.D., received her Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in 2026 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2022.

During her training, Dr. Zhong completed externships in Franklin, Memphis, and Knoxville, Tennessee, where she gained experience in comprehensive eye care, including myopia management, cataract care, dry eye treatment, ocular disease care, and contact lenses.

Originally from Arlington, TN, Dr. Zhong was inspired to become an optometrist after her own positive experiences as a nearsighted child. She understands how clear vision can build confidence and improve quality of life. She is excited about advancements in optometry that support early detection and improved treatment options for patients.

Fluent in English and Chinese, Dr. Zhong enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients and is committed to helping each person feel comfortable and confident in their eye care.
